Or as Tayler Rayn says chick munk. I came out of the office and looked out the living room window to see Tayler and Joshua with a plastic bag in the front yard. I go out to the porch to investigate and they are trying to put a chipmunk in the plastic bag. They have rescued it from the cat and then the dogs. I inform them a plastic bag will not do. We get a towel wrapping it up securing it in a box. There are no visible injuries. After calling my mom our animal expert we realize once the "chickmunk" has rested there will be no containing it and we DO NOT want it lose in the house. After a bit my mom and I both convince Tayler to take the box to the woods to leave her (Tayler thinks this is a girl) until she is rested. I promise to take pictures for her. And we get this one, upon opening the box out jumps the "chickmunk" she runs towards Tayler and then to Joshua down the hill and off in the woods. Tayler burst into tears, there is no picture of her "chickmunk"! That little bugger was fast and I am sooo glad it did that outside. She was devastated she missed the little one and wanted to keep it I told her they were not pets and that they were wild creatures and finally got her calmed down? So when her daddy comes home he wants to make sure we really found a chipmunk (he thinks they don't exist on our property) he looks it up on the Internet and finds pictures with people holding them as pets. Thanks dad, now instead of a horse for Christmas she would like a chipmunk. At least we are getting smaller. :)
