This painting was on the side of a building walking up towards the square
.
We joined a program where we could go and see 3 plays for about $12 per person for all 3. The first we saw in October- If You Give A Mouse A Cookie(my favorite book to read the kids), the second in November-Frog Prince, and the last in December- Zorro. The plays were put on by various theater companies and all performed at the Mississippi College for Women in Columbus, MS. The kids and I decided after our last play to park and walk the square. We had such a great time it still puts a smile on my face! We shopped for new ornaments, ate lunch at this wonderful cafe, visited the Arts Council and viewed art for sale and even dropped by the humane society on the square to play with dogs and cats. There wasn't one place we went in that the kids were not complemented on for their great behavior! I am one proud mom!
This appears to be an original, it stands outside of what was once a barbers shoppe, now a law office. The boys thought is was neat.
This picture was taken waiting for their food. Joshua ordered grill cheese, Tayler chicken and dumplings, and Brenden a turkey sandwich. The food was amazing! Brenden was so cute, he said he felt like he was in a cafe in Italy. They were so very well behaved and even got free candy when we left! Read more about the restaurant below.

Tayler outside our favorite window display. I wish it showed better with no glare. This tree was flocked in pink! We spent a hour in this store looking at and picking up ornaments. There were at least 12 trees at the least covered in ornaments for sale. I am proud to say known were broken until we left. I stepped outside with Joshua and Tayler, Brenden stayed waiting on a package to be wrapped and he told us a teenager broke a very expensive ornament right after we left.
