Our chickens have taken a liking to a cat carrier as a nesting box. Brenden felt sorry for them when two of them got stuck in there together, trying to lay. So he had the idea to build a nesting box with scrap wood. He had a little help, and did a fantastic job. I was a little unsure if they would use it as it didn't have a top. But as you can see it did the trick. In just a few hours we had two eggs. No more getting stuck. It is now their favorite nesting space. As you can tell he is one proud guy! And rightly so!
