First Geo Cache

This is our first geocache adventure. I had heard about this about a year ago but never had the time to look into it further. Recently my friend Shonna asked me if I knew about them and told me they had done quite a few and even had one near the lake. After dropping our little boys off at Mothers Day Out we decided to take the big kids on walk and find one they had done before. I think this is something the Jones Family will do again and make a habit of. We love the outdoors and had a blast doing it!
Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache's existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache.
If you are interested here is a link to get you more information.

Here are the kids and our friends Shonna and Reid. Opening up our first cache.
People will leave logs with their date and name, along with little treasures. You should sign your name in return and then leave a trinket in place of the one you take.
