Joshs Butterfly Pictures

This butterfly has 3 set of wings, if you look close you can see a smaller wet top front.

Ok take note that I am only responsible for editing these pictures. I hate to admit it but I am quite jealous of Joshs' skills. Regardless they are amazing and worth showing! Maybe I should back track and give more information on my jealousy issue. You see I have an incredible husband. This man works away from home all week long to support us, giving his job 100% never complaining. And when he comes home he switches gears cooking most of our meals(which are all way better than mine), helping me with our children, animals, and picking me up physically and mentally giving us 100% as well. Not to mention he brings so much laughter. I tend to be the serious get it all done one, and the kids are so happy to have daddy to lighten things up! Josh is good at all he does. I used to think ok he can cook but I can bake. Nope he has mastered making biscuits better than any I have ever had, and has recently made brownies for the first time the kids are still talking about. Then photography is my thing and here he puts me to shame with these amazing pictures. I may say I am jealous but deep down I am blessed, grateful and proud to have him as mine!

Beach Fun With Friends

Building sand castles and searching for rocks.

Tayler joins castle making in the black suit.

Joshua and his buddy Bryce in their safety gear...

Joshua says what are these girls up to, right before they ran him off.

Brenden still at work on that sand castle.

I had originally thought that all of our Grenada friends could meet us at the beach for Tayler's birthday. When I told her my plans she wasn't to happy saying she didn't want it to be for her birthday. I am not sure what that was about... So we turned I turned it into a before school starts get together. The kids got along very well and had a blast. The moms enjoyed their selves as well getting to actually visit with each other while the kids were occupied. I wish we had planned more of these but in the blink of an eye summer break was gone!

Makeover

Tayler says thumbs up to girls night!

Tayler trying to look scary, I think the make up was enough!
First Tayler's Mommy Makeover, she really didn't do a bad job. The lighting was off making me look sun burnt though.

Second Corey's' Makeover on me. Corey did good as well, lighting was off here too giving the ghost effect.

Coreys' less is more look. She has grown into such a beautiful girl!

Corey's' clown makeover.
The clown makeovers were Corey's' idea. She said that she and her friends do this at spend the night get togethers, keeping make up just for this. I can't remember doing anything like this growing up. I am sure there were times my make up looked like this but not on purpose.
Yeah I found lost pictures, I can't tell you how happy I am! Not only was I missing these but the ones for three other posts as well! Okay here comes the disclaimer please note when looking at above pictures of the author that this was 2:00 am. And I share this for my daughter to remember, as scary as it is! :)

A Few Chicken Picture Updates

Nugget my favorite of the flock. He hangs around every morning when I let them all out to be held and petted while the others head for the trees. He is the sweetest little Roo!

Patty still not sure if "she" is turning into a Roo or not. Hoping not!

These two looked like twins when we brought them home. They sure have changed!

Bumble Bee Aka Bee
He is beautiful and very friendly as well if you can catch him, he likes to fly and is good at it.

Sonny is HUGE! And still growing. He seems to be doing well, as I make him work for his food. He definitely is the flock protector alerting and chasing off threats! I do well with him as I long as I let him know who is boss a good kick in the rear a time or two has done the trick. I will not have him bossing me, nor trying to bite and attack me or anyone else. He has chased the boys a time or two while we were trying to round up everyone at night. I think he heard me say the oven is just right inside, so he has been well behaved lately. Well ok maybe not I wouldn't have the heart to eat him but that doesn't mean he wouldn't find a new home!

Giant Leopard Moth

Brenden was watering plants this morning for me and called us to see this caterpillar. The four of us love to watch these creatures and then look them up on the net to find out what they will be in adult form.
Here the caterpillar is crawling on Joshua's' left shoulder.

A good picture of the red bands.

Here in Joshua's' hand.

Crawling away to freedom...
The Giant Leopard Moth or Eyed Tiger Moth It is distributed throughout the Southern and Eastern United States from New England to Mexico.
This species has a wingspan of 3 inches (nearly 8 cm). The wings of this moth are bright white with a pattern of neat black blotches, some solid and some hollow. The abdomen is dark blue with orange markings, the male has a narrow yellow line on the sides. Its legs have black and white bands. Adult moths are strictly nocturnal and do not generally fly before nightfall.
The caterpillar is of the "Woolly Bear" kind, with a thick coat of black bristles (setae) and red bands between its segments which become conspicuous when caterpillar rolls into a ball for defense. (PICTURE AND TEXT BORROWED FROM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_Leopard_Moth)
