Thanksgiving 2011

Turkey breast, yeast rolls, butter peas, mashed potatoes, gravy, baked mac n cheese, and sweet potato casserole. YUMMY!
Going around the table while eating we each take turns and talk about what we are thankful for. Jesus, answered prayers, family, freedom, home school are among the many. We have no needs. Thank you GOD!

We braved Walmart on Black Friday and though we went for a trampoline this is what we came home with thanks to my hubby. It was an experience I do not wish to to endure again though Josh as always turned it into an adventure with many laughs! I am oh so grateful for him a best friend to always make me smile and knows me better than I know myself!

Rest In Peace Garlic

Our beloved Garlic past away in November.
Our poor Ginger his mate was heartbroken. During the same day she went missing after searching I found her on the pond bank alone, not a safe spot! I gathered her up and took her to the bird house with her shuddering as we got closer. Once inside I set Ginger down, and she cried bless her heart. I held her and cried with her and for her! We plan to get her new friends in the spring, unfortunately there are none to be found in this season.

Annual Fall Walk 2011

This year we chose to trek out on property near our house, instead of heading out to a Grenada Lake Trail.
Nothing like jumping hay bales!
There is a large hill stacked with trees on the property behind our makes for such a pretty setting in the fall!
Fog rolling off the pond after our first frost of the season early morning, the moon hasn't gone to bed yet.
Yellow always my favorite!
These are a few pictures I snapped at Grenada Lake on the way home from the  animal shelter one day.
I LOVE TREES!
Coming off the dam.
These are actually weeds but the colors sure are pretty.
Here we are again on our nature walk near the house in the next set of pictures.
It can go from this to...
To this in seconds.
Making a slide out of a hillside.
Thank you God for the beautiful seasons you give us to enjoy!
With pretty foliage.
This is a neighbors dog that joined us on our adventure. Such a pretty boy!
Bug tracks on a fallen log, make for some neat artwork.

Dude
The kids spotted a Jesus Cross as they call it.
That is one big leaf there Dude.

Memphis Zoo Boo

This year instead of Trick or Treating door to door we chose to attend the Memphis Zoo Boo. The zoo was lit up and decorated for Halloween with candy stations all over for Trick or Treaters. Though there were only a few exhibits open including the aquarium, animals of the night and farm animals there was plenty to do! A haunted hay ride, hay maze, and train ride were a few of our favorites. All the children and quite a few parents were in costume.
At the entrance several witches hung from the trees.

 Our Trick or Treat Crew
This was the entrance to creepy crawly critters.
We each petted this gorgeous Ball Python Lucy
Although we did not get to pet him we learned interesting facts Calvin Klein the Skunk.
These dinosaurs are a preview of a later exhibit to come.

 Bat above the train station.
I think my favorite decorations were the trees, where they had colored lights shining up into the leaves.
Decorations inside the train station, the lighting was super cool.

Ready to ride.
 Water snakes.
Fortunes being told. This lady told us she was a homeschooling mother as well. We enjoyed chatting with her.
I love this picture of Josh and I! This was a really fun family outing that we all enjoyed!

On our way out just a peak out how amazing the decorations were all lit up. I highly recommend the Zoo Boo and am grateful we had the chance to experience it!
