Picnic At The Square in Grenada

It isn't often I get a picture like this. Sweet Siblings!
One of the 2 monuments on the square Recognizing soldiers.
This is where we sat to eat. Sure was pretty!
Tayler trying to elbow her brother out of her picture, I caught her with a Cheetos in her mouth. :)
See my Cheetos? Last night we were seeing what kind of animal shapes they looked like.
Do I have to smile mom? You take to many pictures.!

More Pictures At the Lake

This is a picture of the bridge above us. The lighting was awesome thanks to the setting sun!
This is the beach at Grenada Lake the kids and I play at. The sun was setting on the trees, hence the orange tops.
I chased this poor butterfly forever trying to get a pic of it with its wings spread. I did not succeed but got some really good ones like this. I just noticed the deer foot print. There were deer prints all over, you could tell it much be a favorite spot of theirs.
Joshua and his favorite truck "Crane Truck"
Tayler fished as well. She is getting better at casting her Barbie pole. This is the spot where they fished.

A Perfect Sunday

We went to a Class Sunday morning. This is a 15 week class teaching on a biblical church. After the 15 weeks the people involved will consider making it a church. The kids were all in there with us and were absolutely wonderful! Afterward we walked around the square downtown(the building we had class in was part of the square). And as a treat we then went by the store picked up some hot dogs and took them to the park for a picnic. Tayler took her skates, Bren took his plane, and Joshua took his favorite the "Crane Truck". The weather could not have been better!
Here is a pic of Tayler with the skates she bought with her birthday money. Grandaddy gave her the helmet and pads to go with her bike. We are very grateful to have them. I do have to say she is doing well on both new sets of wheels(bike and skates) though and we are very proud of her!
After the park it was home for naps! Woo Hoo for mommy and daddy. After our nap we went back to the lake. Josh and Brenden wanted to test out some fishing techniques. Josh has a fly fishing pole. I took a book to read while they fished and Joshua pushed his truck and played in the water. I didn't even read I was so busy taking pictures. The lighting was beautiful. In my next post I will share a few more pictures. At the top of the hill they have picnic tables and their were several families that had brought KFC for dinner. We couldn't resist it smelled so good! :) We went by KFC grabbed a bucket of chicken and came home hand ate dinner together. That is such a blessing in itself being that Josh stays gone so much. You never realize just how wonderful some things are until they aren't as available! We gave the kids baths and snuggled on the couch to watch some free tv with our new antenna(we cut our satellite off). I feel so blessed to have my family and have had such an awesome day!

What are the Jones up to?

This is a picture of Tayler and Joshua at art this past school year. I can't help to post a picture with every entry. Yes that is a bear in the back ground we share our school room with him until he no longer holds sentimental value for Josh.
Josh left this morning for TN again, but he is actually staying in Huntsville, AL tonight. Man I would have loved to go on that trip to! But I have much to do before our vacation to Blue Ridge, GA in September. I am in the process of researching and ordering our school curriculum for this year. I will have Brenden in 3rd, Tayler in 1st, and Joshua doing some Pre K. I am really excited about the things we will be learning and our lessons. Once I have it all nailed down I will post a few links so you can check out what we will be doing. I will even post a pic of our school/office as we call it. We are so blessed to be able to have a room dedicated to just that.
In the meanwhile I will be cutting grass, weed eating, and spraying. And going through 1 room at a time getting everything organized, and cleaned. I want to tie up all loose ends before we start school so I can devote all of my attention to it, and not the dreaded to do list hanging over my head. Joshua just started back to Mothers Day Out Praise God! It is a huge break for me! His behavior is so much better than last year, but he is still our two foot tornado curious and into everything. Along with stirring up a little trouble in any situation he is in. We are trying to get him to tell us if he would rather be called Joshua, or Josh Noah and he plays a game. He wont tell us so Josh told him his name(Joshs) was Josh Noah and he said Ut Oh! :) I guess he met his match.
During his time at school Mon and Wed from 9-12, I will be tackling the house. I cant believe how much I got done today! The school office is almost marked off. Bren and Tayler will be enjoying the last free time in peace(without little brother) before school starts back.
Ok well I reckon that's enough rambling for now. Until next time. Adios

Our trip to Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee

Well we are home for a little while. Josh came home a week ago and said his boss wanted him to go to Conway, AR. I was beyond excited as I have a wonderful friend that moved there from Grenada about a year ago. I knew right away I would be going. Josh had other thoughts :). But in the end he let us go. We left last Monday morning and took the 4 hour drive there. The kids did really well in the car! Josh dropped us off and headed for work. We immediately got to talking about school curriculum. Marcee made the best Sloppy Joes YUM, I don't get to eat things like that much as my family doesn't like tomato based stuff. After lunch and once the kids got antsy we took them to the pool they joined, it was really neat with slide and a mushroom fall. The kids weren't able to get in the pool with the slides though, as we were walking in the gate a mom told us someone had just upchucked in the pool. Umm YUCK! The life guards said give them 30 minutes and then we could use the pool. Um No Thanks. The kids still had a blast in the other pool! On the way back I got a tour of Conway a very nice but big town. I really loved down town! We went back to their house to wait on Josh. When he got back we went to a great Italian restaurant for dinner. Poor Marcie got a trey of water dumped down her back. The worse part was we had 6 kids at the table and the waiter was consistently cursing UGH. But we did get free appetizers and the kids got dessert out of it. Thanks Marcie. :) After dinner we walked down town. And then headed to the hotel room.
Marcie picked us up around 10 the next morning, we went to the park for a bit. We didn't stay long everyone was hot and thirsty. So we went through Sonic and got drinks and headed home for lunch yummy tacos, and more sloppy joe for me. Unfortunately Josh got done early and we had to cut our visit short and leave that afternoon. But we had a great visit and I am so happy for them. They really love it there.
Next we headed to Dyersburg,TN. We even drove over the MS river and through Missouri to get there which was neat, except for the bridge part. I really don't like bridges! Dyersburg was such a friendly town, people actually looked at you and smiled and spoke. Not something we get much of around here in Grenada. Our days there pretty much went: sleep in, get up just in time for free breakfast, after breakfast go to the pool and swim, then go back to the room for showers and get ready to eat lunch with Josh, after lunch come back watch tv after take a nap, wake up in time to go eat dinner with Josh. After dinner we went to the mall one night and to a family favorite of ours Tractor Supply, then more swimming to wear the kids out. One afternoon provided a pillow fight that got out of hand, apparently we disturbed guests and the hotel desk called. I think they were really just jealous they weren't having that much fun. It wasn't even late.
Basically I was in heaven the kids had a pool to play in and wear them out, we got to eat out (no cooking for me) and someone to clean our room! And the best part was getting to spend time with Josh. 'Sorry I don't have pics to share, I really wish I had taken some! But here is a cute one of Joshua after eating chocolate this month.
