We are finished!YEAAHH!/Update

Ok so we are officially finished with home school this year. I feel such accomplishment and am so proud of Brenden and Tayler. Right now the plan is for us to continue and home school again next year. We have been really busy the last couple of weeks. Our family is actually in Laurel, MS at the moment. Josh is here on business, so the kids and I came down to hang out. We have been to the pool this morning. For lunch we went to a neat pizza place called Eat a Pizza. It was like a miniature Chucky Cheese Joshua won 224 tickets! They had a ball. Afterwards we went to Landrums Country Homestead Village. http://www.landrumscountry.com/
I had no idea it was even here and only 10 minutes from the hotel. This was such a blessing, Brenden and I learned about so many of these things from American History this year. I have tons of pics and will post them when I get home and back to my PC. We hope to go to an art museum tom. I will be praying fervently that Joshua does well there, we shall see. We also hope to go to a water park on our way home and are looking forward to that.
Monday we are off to GA until Friday I cant wait other minus the drive. We haven't been back since November! The kids and I will stay at my mom and dads, this will be a first staying there with all 3 kiddos. My moms house isn't exactly kid friendly she has so many antiques. They do have a pool and that will keep them busy most of the time, and outside! :)
Back at the home front we just purchased an antique John Deer zero turn lawn mower(looks like one anyway). It does cut the grass really well though! It will really help me with keeping the yard cut. Yes I cut the grass, and enjoy it. Josh is out of town so much and 5 acres can get out of hand in a hurry.
We have finally finished furnishing Tayler Rayns' girly room. We found a whole bedroom suite on Craigslist for $350 and you can barely buy a good mattress set for $200 so we decided to buy it. It looks exactly like the same furniture that I got when I was a little girl only a smaller version. It was a shock to find it, and I was super excited! I prayed that if it was meant for her God would work out the details and he did. A woman called and asked the man to hold it the day before I emailed him. And then called the next day to tell him she changed her mind. Proof that God answers even "small prayers". The best part is praying and leaving it in his hands and being satisfied with the results. If it isn't in his will it wont happen! I still need to decorate a little, but that will come in time. Pics of that to come when we get home also.
Well I am off for now to get ready for dinner with Josh. I cant tell you how happy I am to be able to spend some time with him, and have a break from Grenada!

A note from the editor.

Hi all,
I thought I would let you know what has been going on with the Jones Party for the last few months. Josh has been traveling out of town pretty much 5 days a week for over 6 months now. We are so grateful he has a job and our bills are paid. We are needing for nothing. There are so many out there in a much, much worse a position. But it does take a toll on the kids and I, we miss him so much! Being with the kids 24/7 is hard to say the least. It would be much easier if I had a support network here in MS, or we were closer to our family in GA. I do get quite lonely as do the kids. We feel a bit isolated due to home school at times. It would really be awesome if we could find a home school support network to! But Grenada doesn't have much offer in that category. And no where within a 100 mile radius. Ugghh!
For those of you that don't know I home schooled Brenden in 2 nd grade, and Tayler in Kindergarten last year. The curriculum was called My Fathers World and was really Christ centered. We are actually just finishing up. There is a bit of science, history, bible, and a couple of spelling tests left. Math,English are done. YEAH! We had a late start and are getting done later than everyone else. I think all in all it was great. We all learned a lot. In the long run all the positives of home school out way the negatives by far!
We are prayerfully looking for a new church still, waiting to see where God leads us. It is hard not having a church family. I really miss a lot of the ladies at First Baptist that were so good to us!
Well Josh is here tonight which is very rare so I am off to go play Wii. Let me encourage you to leave comments!
Love to all Kristy

Joshua Jumping Off 1st Time!

Joshua wanted to jump off his first day, but his swim teacher suggested this float first. So after dropping Bren off for his lesson we went to Walmart . It really is neat and doesn't flip them with their face in the water. And here he is the first time he jumped he just laughed and laughed and was ready to do it again. My little dare devil with no fear what so ever!

Tayler jumping off the diving board!

Go Tayler! Go Tayler! You are awesome!

Brenden Jumping Off

Yay! Brenden we are so proud of how far you have come this year!

Swimming Lessons

This week all three kids are taking swimming lessons, last year only Brenden and Tayler were able. They are all doing great! Tayler was a weak swimmer last year, and Brenden had a fear of the deep water. Brenden and Tayler are both jumping off the diving board into the deep and swimming well! Joshua just jumped off today for the first time! They couldn't love the water anymore! I am wanting to join a pool here or have our own. Who doesn't right?!

For My Mom

I got these for my birthday, and wanted to share a picture. Thank you Mommy! I love these. Now you just need to give me two more plants when I come home to finish filling them up. ;) I had an Aloe plant and Christmas Cactus on them but they were not happy the heat burnt them up. I am learning my plants still.

Big Day For Joshua

Yay! Daddy was able to come home to celebrate Joshuas' birthday! I made him a Thomas The Tank Engine Cake. He had been wanting one since I made one for his friend in October. We ate pizza, rented Desperaux movie, had balloons, cake and ice cream. We also got him a MPG player. He loves music. His favorite is Casting Crowns Lifesong. It is a blessing to hear him singing christian music! And this birthday boy is done until next year. Now time to gear up for Tayler Rayn who will 6 next month. :)

Joshuas' New Tonka Tuff Bike

While talking to my dad on the phone he asked if Joshua would like a bike for his birthday. I was thinking he would not, but then asked Joshua. His reply was " I want tractors, and a bike". So being the awesome grandparents they are they sent a Tonka Tuff Bike. It arrived a couple of days ago and has been in the garage. I had plans of Josh putting it together and giving it to Joshua when we had his birthday celebration this weekend. But leave it to Brenden and Tayler to spill the beans. Next thing I know Joshua has scissors and is cutting the box in the garage. So guess what Mommy got to do. . Not the way I had planned but he is happy none the less. So here his is with his bike and Transformer Gear. He calls Transformers meet eye eye, their slogan is More Than Meets The Eye. Too Cute!
