Just a Quickie

My digital camera was knocked out of my hand, lens out by a very tired and ornery little boy. And yes you guessed it is is broken. So we used disposable cameras for Christmas. I plan to have them sent off to be developed and put on a disk on Monday. Sooo Christmas posts, New Years and such will be out late this time. Sorry. I promise you I am so disappointed myself. I MISS my camera and am not able to take my hundreds of pictures I normally do.
So until then ..........

Our View This AM

As Josh was getting ready to leave for work this morning, he spotted these deer out our dining room window. There were 6 in all. These three came out after eating Privet Bush. The others stayed right in the edge of the woods. Gods creation is such a blessing, and we are blessed to have a place where we see so much of it!

A X Tour Shirts

Front of my official Fox Race shirt.

And Back.

This is Brens shirt he picked out for his birthday.

This is the shirt we found on our way out. I had to think about picking it up and taking it with us, but being that we were one of the last few there and these were free anyway I knew someone else would just take it home. This is from a Sponsor of the race Storm Sprockets.

2009 Arena Motorcross Tour

This is the only picture I got of the bikes. They were just way to fast.
This is how close we sat!
Joshua had a ball, though he he was a bit scared of the four wheelers. They wrecked a lot and back fired. We had ear plugs but he refused to wear them.
The one good pic of a four wheeler race. I think this is a four year old here.
Josh gave Tayler Joshuas' jacket to cover her legs with and I looked over and she had on hers and his. Ha Ha!
A pic of the track, we sat on the left right in front of the hill under the finish line.

This bike was on display and the kids wanted their pictures taken with it. Joshua would hardly stand still. He was to interested in the bike. He said I can ride this and the proceeded to climb on it. We had to get him out of there. LOL
This was Brenden's birthday present from Josh and I. We let the kids pic an activity and take them out to dinner for their birthdays. Bren got to go shopping at Lowes, and Tractor Supply what could be more fun for guys big and little? Next we went to Cracker Barrel to eat dinner, and sat right in front of the fire! Bren also got to pick anything on the menu. He choose biscuits, sausage, gravy, and scrambled eggs, with Root Beer to drink(they even brought him a mug) he was up town then! I think Josh got off easy! We arrived early at the race and were able to pick any seats we wanted to! We sat so close the bikes threw dirt on us!!!! It was a BLAST! Tayler was not as thrilled as mommy and her boys and asked several times if it was the last lap. She did however really enjoy the flips 75 feet in the air and all the other stunts after the races. Brenden picked out a tee shirt, and Josh even bought me a real motor cross shirt that I LOVE! When they were throwing free shirts I had Bren go to the rail and try to catch one, and then one landed in his seat right beside me. I had it in my hands and some crazy woman(actually she was a mom) grabbed it out of my hands. And ran to brag to her husband and kid. WOW! I prayed for her, she must have some issues for sure. On our way out we were one of the last to leave as all the kids had to take a potty break we found a shirt laying right in front of the doors on the ground. So Bren got his free shirt after all!

Morning Fun

The kids had fun playing with these trains together and watching cartoons. I love that they have more opportunity and time to do things like this being home schooled.

Bonfire

Jay Brenden and James waiting on a fire cracker to pop.
I love this picture of my Joshua's! You can see how much fun they were having!
Left to Right Jay, James, Josh, Joshua, Brenden, Rodney, Kate, and Tayler Rayn.
If Tayler Rayn was sitting this is where she was snuggled up with Uncle Rodney. Joshua calls him Uncle Rodney.
Joshua says whew it is hot. He spent most of his time picking up sticks and throwing them in the fire.
I got some really pretty pictures of the fire. This was the first time I had tried taking pictures like this.
I had Josh stoke it,( u can barely see him in the background) to make fireflies for me.
Loving the colors in this, can't believe true they turned out.
Was so much fun and I am ready to have another one!

It Was A Happy Thanksgiving

Great Grandmother Dismukes' buttermilk brownies, yeast rolls, deviled eggs, gravy, garlic and cheese mashed potatoes, smoked ham(by Josh) and green bean casserole.
Cream corn, fall leaf cookies, sweet potato casserole, Joshs' dressing, turkey, and chocolate pecan pie.
Kate, James, and Brenden.
Josh, Jay(blue jacket), Joshua, Tayler Rayn, and Rodney(orange shirt).
Better picture of Jay and Josh.
Jay, Rodney and Kate drove all night Wednesday and got here about 5:30 am. They were able to stay with us until Sunday about mid morning. We had a great time! Lots of Wii was played, hide and go seek, playing with fire crackers, fishing in the pond, watching movies, eating tons of good food, and we even had a bonfire! Josh and Rodney also changed the timing belt on my truck in the midst of all this. Which made me a happy girl, I love my truck!

New Hair

Mommy and Brenden got lots of hair cut off. I had wanted to donate my hair to Locks of Love but they now require 10 inches. WOW! I got about 5 inches cut off mine, and Brendens' is much shorter now to, we are trying to spike it a bit he wants to go with the messy look. That is taking practice!

School

Joshua's' Bear for B

Joshua's Cake

Tayler Rayns' Drawing of herself.

Brenden's drawing himself.

Brenden decided to go patriotic.

Brendens' foot, and his mommy can now wear his shoes!

Above our pictures of our about me books. I did one in kindergarten and my mom saved it. I thought it was a neat keepsake and a fun craft activity. We had fun doing them! Joshua and I are doing and Abc, shape, color, and number books also for preschool. I haven't had a chance to post much about school, we stay so busy just getting it done. We are learning about maps and visiting different places in geography we have done USA, and Mexico. In Science we are studying ecosystems and animal habitats. Bren is adding and subtracting triple digits, and carrying over numbers in math. Tayler is really coming along on her reading, I am super proud of her! Math seems to be both her and Brens favorite subject with science and geography in a close second. I myself am relearning English all over again. And Bren is learning cursive, I think he writes better in cursive than in manuscript!

Fall Picnic At "The Cannon Trail" November 2009

The weather was so nice today, perfect for a picnic. I wanted to take the kids on this trail before fall was over. They love to play on the cannons. James my nephew is here visiting for Thanksgiving break, we were so glad to have him along!
